Welcome!
Welcome to my virtual portfolio! I hope that you learn some things about me that you might not have before. I have included a link to my resume, as well as some of the previous work that I have done. I have also included on the side some sites of interest for me, as well as a list of all the blog posts. Take a look around and enjoy!
Letter of Intent
Dear Viewer,
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog. Please take a look at my resume and previous work and hopefully find what you are seeking.
I am a well-rounded person who always strives to achieve success. I like to think of myself as a leader, but I can also work well in group situations. I am very friendly and can handle myself well in any situation.
Throughout this blog I have added some of my previous works. I have included research papers as well as a moot court argument and a theoretical judicial decision.
I am sure that I will be a great addition to your law school. Hopefully this blog will help you see that!
Thank you and enjoy,
Jessica

Biography
I am a 20-year old Political science major at The College of New Jersey. I am also minoring in law, politics, and philosophy with a concentration in law and society.
I have taken many classes here at TCNJ, most with of which are political science or law related. This has given me a better understanding and appreciation for the law. I have also some communications classes which have helped me learn to become a better public speaker and writer.
I am currently interning in the policy office in the NJ Governor’s office. Fall 2008 semester I spent abroad in London through The Washington Center. This program provides students with the opportunity to take classes as well as intern, and my internship was with the Liberal Democrat party in the candidates office. I worked very hard at both of my internships, as well as in my academic career.
Outside of school, I like to travel. That is probably my favorite thing to do. I eventually want to see all 7 continents. I also like to read and spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy volunteering. I have volunteered at nursing homes, soup kitchens, and religious centers teaching children. I try to help my community and give back as much as possible. Another hobby of mine is that I enjoy following politics. I watch CNN religiously and always need to be informed with what is going on in the world.
After graduation, I intend to go to law school. I am unsure as to what type of law I want to practice or maybe get into politics, but I am sure I will decide when I am in law school. Hopefully this virtual portfolio will help with my future plans!

I have attached two research papers that I have written in the past. The first is on AIDS among three different nations and how they handle this problem. The second one is on what leads to a fear of violence. This one was written based upon much quantitative data and analyzing it thoroughly.

Thank You
First and foremost, I would like to thank you, the viewer, for taking a "journey through Jess' world." I hope that you have learned some more about me, including things that you might not have been able to without viewing this virtual portfolio.
Secondly, I would like to thank my professors and employers. Without the experience that they have given to me the opportunity to have, I would not be prepared for the next chapters of my life. These opportunities have been invaluable.
Finally, I would like to thank my family and friends. Without them and all of the support that they have given me, I would not be the person that I am today. Their constant encouragement has inspired me to always try my best.
Thank you again for viewing my blog and I hope you enjoyed!
